WHERE WE come from

Our roots are in academia and in business training, where studying the science and art of language became a desire to help others share eloquence and persuasion in public speaking. We would like to share with you too, so follow us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to see what we can discover together.

Our team originated in the halls of the centenary Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, the largest university in Portugal and one of the oldest in the world, its foundations dating back over 700 years. We share a passion not just for all Humanities but specifically for crafting eloquent and persuasive speeches for every occasion.

We are based in Lisbon, the city which launched the ships which explored the world in the XV century and has hosted the Web Summit for the past 5 years.

Portugal is a country of famous traders and missionaries who used their skill to spread their beliefs and their business, and who were able to raise a nation of one million inhabitants to the status of empire. This is the home of Santo António de Lisboa, one of the greatest thinkers and orators of the XIII century, a kindred spirit to Saint Francis of Assisi, who is one of only 36 people to have been named Doctor of the Catholic Church for the “freshness and beauty” of his writings, and who, like a rock star, drew crowds to hear him and, according to legend, could even get the fish to listen to him. He is now better known for the place where he died, in Padova, but he will always be an example of how Portuguese rhetoric has travelled far and wide. To this day, the Portuguese are famous for their problem-solving skills and friendly, warm manner. Cornered between assertive nations with more revolutionary streaks, Portugal has always been a haven for those who thrived through their words rather than their force, having had a revolution where the army’s guns were coloured not with blood red bayonets, but with red carnations.
